Alena Malone

Owner

Alena Malone is the Owner and Founder of , a center she proudly calls her “baby.” A lifelong St. Louis native, Alena built this center from a deep passion for children, families, and community.

She is a graduate of Normandy Senior High School and Lincoln University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. She later received her Master’s degree in Legal Studies from Webster University. As a single mother, Alena understands firsthand how important it is for families to have access to safe, nurturing, and high-quality childcare.

Her vision for Lovely Child Development Center was shaped by both her professional background and lived experience. She believes every child deserves a strong foundation, loving guidance, and a supportive learning environment. This center is more than a business to her — it is a purpose-driven space where children are empowered to grow, learn, and thrive.

Dariah Daniels

Director

Dariah “Ms. D” Daniels Daniels is the Center Director of Lovely Child Development and is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for every child and family.

She holds an Associate’s degree in Teaching and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with minors in Sociology and Psychology. Her educational background and hands-on leadership experience allow her to support children’s development through both an academic and social-emotional lens.

As Director, Dariah oversees daily operations, staff development, curriculum implementation, and family engagement. She believes early childhood education lays the foundation for lifelong success and is passionate about building a center culture rooted in structure, love, and growth.

Sunita Bonnett

Asst. Director

Ms. Sunny is the Assistant Director of Lovely Child Development Center and brings over 43 years of experience in early childhood care and education. She began her childcare journey at just 18 years old while working in Germany, and her passion for children has only continued to grow over the decades.

Known for her big personality and loving spirit, Ms. Sunny is truly “loved by all.” In addition to supporting daily center operations, she also prepares and serves meals, helping ensure children are nourished both physically and emotionally. Families are often greeted by Ms. Sunny’s warm smile as she welcomes them into the center each day.

Ms. Sunny believes every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and loved. Her experience, nurturing nature, and joyful presence make her an irreplaceable part of our center family.
